I BULLSHITTED THESE MODELS A LOT MORE THAN I WANTED TO ADMIT AT THE TIME MY BAD 🫢🫢
so how these models came to be happened in mid-2019. i was just getting back into durarara again, and i was like, "hey, i wonder if there are any durarara models!" there were, but they were...not good.
i was like "okay fine whatever i'll make my own." and i tried to make my own using parts from deviantart. it was really ugly.
then i found this model rip of izaya and shizuo from some mobile game. at first, i didn't want to use a lot of parts from it, so i only stuck to using the shirt. the face was also really bugging me. in a search for a better face, i realized could use a persona 5 dancing model as the base. so i used yusuke's, as he's my favorite p5 character, and just because i think his face fits best. so now the model looks better, but everything other than the face still looks off to me. this is where i decided to finally use the clothes and hair from that game model.
and just like that, the final izaya model is complete...! of course, there was a few more revisions to small parts here and there, but this is the final model. honestly, despite bullshitting it a bit, i had a lot of fun. i got to learn a lot about mmd and 3d modelling in general. however, the rigging on these models kinda sucks. i still am not good at that. or physics.
